Welcome to Potly, your dedicated houseplant repotting journal! This agreement is our friendly shared understanding between you and the Potly team, designed to make your plant tracking experience smooth, fun, and stress-free. We built Potly to help plant parents of all skill levels keep organized care records, track growth, and build perfect soil mixes for their leafy friends.
1. Access & Usage Rules
- No account, sign-up, or personal information submission is required to use 100% of Potly's core features, completely for free. You can jump straight into documenting your plants as soon as you open the app.
- All features are available to every user: building custom plant profiles, browsing your collection in the searchable grid view, tracking repot events on the visual timeline, capturing before/after repot photos, rating root health, logging pot size details, saving care observations, using the Soil Lab to build and reuse custom soil mix recipes, and attaching recipes to individual repot entries.
- You are free to use Potly for all personal plant care tracking needs, for as many plants as you own.
2. Your Content Ownership
- All content you create inside Potly belongs 100% to you: this includes plant photos, repot records, soil mix recipes, care notes, root health ratings, and progress observations you save.
- You retain full rights to export, share, modify, or delete your content at any time, with no restrictions from our side.
- All of your content is stored locally on your device by default. The Potly team never accesses, collects, or shares your personal plant records unless you explicitly choose to send them to us for support requests or feedback submissions.
3. Our Feature Commitments
- We will keep all core Potly features free and accessible for all users, with no paywalls blocking basic plant tracking functionality.
- We will work to keep the app running reliably, so you can always access your plant records, review your care progress over time, and compare plant growth changes whenever you need to make care decisions.
- Future app updates will continue to expand and improve existing features (including the timeline view, Soil Lab, and record comparison tools) based on user feedback, with clear in-app communication about any changes to how features work before they roll out.
4. Your Responsibilities
- We recommend backing up your Potly content regularly via the in-app export options, to avoid accidental data loss from device damage, app uninstallation, or device replacement.
- Please only store content related to houseplant care in Potly, to keep the app running smoothly for your own use, and avoid taking up unnecessary storage space on your device.
5. Feedback & Community Contributions
- We love hearing from our community of plant parents! If you share bug reports, feature suggestions, soil mix recipe ideas, or general feedback with us, you help make Potly better for all users.
- If we incorporate your feedback or shared soil recipe into a public app update, we will ask for your explicit permission first, and can credit you by your chosen name in the app update notes if you'd like.
6. Agreement Updates
- If we ever adjust the terms of this agreement, we will post a prominent notification inside the Potly app at least 15 days before the updated terms take effect.
- You can choose to stop using Potly if you do not agree with any updated terms, with no extra steps required on your end.
